Food is not just food. It is about enjoying delicious and fun meals. Be a hedonist!

Delicious and healthy? Or maybe delicious?

Food is not just food. You can quite enjoy food. It’s a great thing when you have a plate of a delicious and healthy meal in front of you.

There are a few tricks that can help you achieve this.

TIP #1

A little bit of extra salt, pepper, and lightly chopped herbs will make a great natural flavor for a dish.
It would be a catastrophe to eat a roast chicken without salt and pepper.

Adding some sea salt, cracked pepper, crushed thyme and rosemary, lemon zest, and maybe even some coriander and sesame seeds can make a masterpiece dish!

TIP #2

Consider the four elements.
Salty, sweet, sour, spicy — these are the big four.

You don’t have to have these elements in equal parts. Sometimes you want one flavor profile to dominate the others, sometimes a good balance of these four elements makes a successful dish.

TIP #3

Great finish
Finishing a dish with a quick zest of citrus could be a great choice. A little lemon brings a salad to life, lime gives a tropical flavor; and even grapefruit and orange are brilliant.

Try a roasted beet salad with grapefruit segments, pistachios, and a little grapefruit zest as a garnish.

TIP #4

Blanching is when a large pot of well-salted water boils and quickly cooking vegetables until they’re about 70 percent cooked. Blanch vegetables in small batches. Allow the water time to recover and come back up to a boil. Keep the water at a strong rolling boil.
You’ll surely have a tasteful meal after blanching.

TIP #5

Pressure cooker
Dried beans in 20 minutes or braised lamb shanks in 35 minutes — great way to cook a quick meal.

Pressure cooker is one of the best tools you can have in your kitchen!
